Bringing Home the Xmas Tree

I had a Norman Rockwell moment last night and wanted to try this out. I hope someone will find a use for it.

The pine tree is a recolor but I have no idea where it came from. I'm sure you all have one around this size. For the tree on the Land Rover I used one of SilentLucidity's shiftable shelves and a 90° shelf from her angled set with the snapobjectstogrid cheat OFF.

For dragging the tree into the house, I used SilentLucidity's 78° shelf and AnoeshkaB's Object Rotators (from TSR and these are not free and which you can barely see under the angled shelf) along with Amber Pose Box #3 The Lover Man for Rafe's pose (lover a/drag).

You can experiment with the different angled shelves but this one seemed to work best. There are probably other alternatives such as hoisting the tree on your shoulder and carrying it that way. Again, playing with the poses and the angled shelves is the way to go with this. And those angled shelves are stackable so the possibilities are endless.

This pose can be rather stiff and "posed" unless you dress it up some. To get a more natural feel to it, I used Decorgal's Custom Modeling Poses Overlay V2 Facial Overlay>Smile, TrendyHendy's Natural Sitting Pose Box (Aidan is using the 90 degree left and Lakin is using the 90 degree right) and the Cup of Poses V1 Couple 2A for Lakin and 2B for Aidan. I may not have needed to use the 90 degree pose on Aidan since the pose calls for him to look in that direction but I wanted to make sure he maintained that angle on his head.

I am not thrilled with those stiff hands but I liked the idea and flow of them walking. I may try using Decorgal's Talk Overlay hack and then throw a different hand holding pose in to see if that works better.

Alternate Uses for Animations #2

For fun I'll call this example a thin line between love and hate. I'm taking part of a "Flirt" animation and making it look like my Sims are fighting. I'm starting with a very basic animation that doesn't require any animation hacks or pose boxes, but Treeg's freezer clock and the slow motion cheat are essential.

This is the very beginning of the "Flirt/Smooch" interaction from the active Sim's menu. It moves fast, so you must use slow motion to capture it.

To make him look more menacing I've used a few face overlays from Decorgal's Custom Modeling Pose Hack.

I've also tilted him using Silent Lucidity's 11degree, forward OMSP (unfortunately it can't be seen as it is covered by a shiftable OMSP shelf that I've used to give him some height). Now instead of looking romantic it looks he's grabbing her in the middle of a fight.

Finally, to make things even more dramatic I've put her in a pose that looks as if she is cowering away from him (would've been better if she had done the face overlay I wanted but she refused to stop smiling).

Alternate Uses for Animations #1

This experiment uses JD's Seasons Animations box, specifically the misc./wishing well/crumplebottom animation.

This is the begining of the animation (part 1). When this animation is triggered by using the wishing well this sim would be climibing out of it (above ground). Here she is below ground climbing out of the pool (using Silent Lucidity's Below Ground OMSP, height 1) .

Alternatively this part of the animation could be used for hanging off of a ledge (using Silent Lucidity's OMSP shiftable shelf).

This is another way that this part of the animation could be used. The sim on the right is posed using the Lover 2.0 Posebox by Amber.
